No time to waste!

I try and write every single day, but it is impossible. However, I value my time highly and if I know I have to wait anywhere, for example, a hospital appointment, waiting to collect a friend from the train station or airport, even on the school run; I always take my fully charged laptop. This way I can utilise the time waiting in my favour. My first best selling adventure thriller novel 'Cure' was constructed outside my little girls school, as I waited for the school bell. Obviously, I had been writing the novel all day and simply took my laptop to school with me.

The important thing is that I am not clock watching when I collect my daughter. I arrive a good hour early and park close to the school, that way, when I get engrossed, it isn't long before one of the mothers or fathers taps my car window to waken me from the realms of anarchy and mayhem in my writing.

This way, I have no distraction when I am deep inside the story, my imagination in overdrive and fingers tapping my keyboard frantically. Before I know it I am half way through a chapter, or have edited a portion of the book accurately.
