I loved shooting Police Pistol Competitions years ago until a politician took away my freedom and my sport by banning handguns with the excuse of "we are fighting gun crime". There was and still is gun-crime, but it is nothing to do with legally owned guns, the government used this excuse to ban gun ownership back in 1993 to be seen as doing something to stop crime when what was actually needed was more police funding! I still love shooting but my liberty has been modified, reigned in by the laws set to 'Keep People Safe'. Well, I will put you all straight now! Switzerland has one of the lowest crime rates in THE WORLD!!! and they are all gun owners, revolvers, automatic pistols, they have the lot! So that means that it is our leftwing politicians, the so-called 'Do-Gooders', that have taken my liberty and yours! Where will it stop? Anyway, enough of my ranting about gun control in the UK. I still love shooting and have to keep it up as an author of action fiction in order to keep up to date with modern firearms and shooting techniques and training.
